The Steamboat Pilot & Today are weekly newspapers that serve Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Within the county are several smaller communities that also figure prominently in our coverage along with many Western Slope communities. The Today is a free daily tabloid newspaper published Monday through Saturday, with the Steamboat Pilot being featured on Sunday. The papers are part of a group of newspapers owned by WorldWest Limited Liability Company.
The premier issue of Steamboat Today rolled off the press on Aug. 21, 1989. Started, at least in part, to complement the venerable Steamboat Pilot, the Today has broken free from an initially limited role and evolved into a respected, award-winning daily newspaper that serves every major community in Routt County.
As we look to the future, we see an even more dynamic and interactive partnership between ourselves and our readers. The opportunities for dialogue and interaction are growing and we are committed to embracing those opportunities so that our connection with our community will be stronger tomorrow than it is today.
