Whether it is for insurance, travel, estate or personal reasons, having a piece of jewelry appraised is no trivial matter. It is much more sophisticated than a simple verbal quote. At Hofmeister, your piece will be appraised by one of the store’s American gem Society (AGS) Certified Gemological Appraisers (CGA). There are approximately 600 CGAs worldwide, and three of them are here at Hofmeister. AGS is the industry’s highest standard. In addition to the formal document detailing the appraisal, you will also receive a photo and background information pertaining to the genre of your piece.
