Coke Roberd saddle

Coke Roberds came to the Hayden area in 1905 with the intention of partnering with his friend Dawson to create the perfect Quarterhorse. This fine roping saddle was made especially for Roberds by the Frazier Saddlery in Pueblo, in 1916. The trapaderos were added later in the 1940s. The saddle is on loan to the museum through the generosity of Robert Temple, who's parents were friends with Coke.
