Description: Join Marie Carmichael to prepare a January performance of Carl Orff's classic and amazingly contemporary cantata Carmina Burana. Written in 1935 using medieval texts, the piece covers topics as familiar in the 13th century as they are in the 21st: the fickleness of fortune and wealth, the ephemeral nature of life, and the joy of Spring. Sponsored by CO Mountain College. Call Marie Carmichael with any questions, 871-4883.
