Description: A benefit dinner for J.T. Thorup, who recently completed four months of chemotherapy, is at 6 p.m. at the United Methodist Church at Eighth and Oak streets. The dinner includes performances by the Steamboat Players Improv Troupe and the Yampa Valley Boys. Proceeds will help with Thorup’s medical expenses. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased at the church, All that Jazz, from Kristin Selby at 879-7471 or from Gloria James at 871-1410. Checks should be made payable to J.T.'s Medical Fund. Donations to the fund can be made at Mountain Valley Bank in Steamboat or Hayden.
